ATMOSFAR Walkthrough: Early Access Opening and Progression
Follow the verified opening milestones in ATMOSFAR Early Access, from Pearl Island and Wasp preparation to a portable camp and Cloud Cruiser, with patch-aware troubleshooting.
Quick route: follow the current journal through the Pearl Island opening, get a working Wasp, prepare fuel and repairs, establish the Utility Wasp camp, and pursue the objectives that lead toward the Cloud Cruiser. This ATMOSFAR walkthrough covers the Early Access opening, not every later island or an invented fixed quest order. The developer's release overview describes the vehicles and launch regions; a player-recorded opening from October 30, 2026 is a separate visual reference. Check your build number because early patches changed progression and hints.
1. Finish the Pearl Island opening
Keep the journal objective visible and use its exact location or item name. The developer's EA 1.0-4 and later patch notes identify the Pearl Island foundry and escape as early-game areas. If an old Demo guide sends you to a different object, prioritize the objective in your current build. For the older route only, see the Demo walkthrough.
2. Prepare your Wasp before leaving
Once the game gives you a Wasp, check its fuel and damaged parts before a longer flight. The Wasp is the smaller exploration craft; the Utility model carries a deployable camp. The Steam game page and developer overview agree on those roles. Do not assume an old video's keybindings or repair recipe match your build. Use the map guide to plan a return route.
3. Set up a working camp
Land where the current objective sends you, deploy the Utility Wasp's camp, and check the displayed supply or power state of each station before trying to craft. Use the recipe and missing-part list shown in game rather than an unverified web recipe. The developer describes the Camp Hub and its crafting, fuel and research functions in the release overview. Independent opening troubleshooting also distinguishes camp-power issues from missing materials. For preparation, see survival crafting.
4. Follow the next objective toward the Cloud Cruiser
The Cloud Cruiser is the large mobile base you can eventually get running; it is not your starting vehicle. The developer overview and Steam listing describe its mobile workshop role. Follow your journal's target rather than skipping ahead to an online map marker.
If a frequency or signal objective appears stuck: record the exact objective, game build and whether the save predates a patch. The official EA 1.0-6/1.0-7 notes mention improved guidance for the PACE base frequency and a Fort Hannigan save-load progression fix. They do not establish one universal frequency or guarantee that every old save is repaired. Use the in-game bug report if the current objective remains impossible.
